Asia

Asia, my home continent, also happens to be the largest ones in terms of land mass AND population. It saw the beginning of many of humanity's first civilizations. A continent known for its culture, history, and traditions. Here are some of the destinations closest to my country that I plan to go to.

National Center for Performing Arts

Now this is the kind of place that when I finally set foot in, I'd be able to tell myself "I made it!". The National Center for Performing Arts in Beijing, China, also known as "The Giant Egg" (lame nickname if you ask me lmao), is an architectural marvel featuring a unique ellipsoidal dome of titanium and glass. It covers an area of about 219,400 square meters and houses 3 performance venues: The Opera House, The Concert Hall, and the Theater.

Another scenery that might be familiar to those who have played Genshin Impact. Guilin also happens to be in the game, in the region of Liyue specifically, which is based on China. Guilin is located in the Guangxi region, and it is renowned for its karst landscape. In here, you can see rivers, mountains, hills, cliffs, each one providing you with a breath-taking view.

As someone from the Philippines, I'm no stranger to Rice Fields. Heck, in the provinces, rice fields are everywhere, you only need to look and walk for a bit. This is something that I appreciate everyday and something that I feel thankful to our farmers for. This is also the very reason why the beauty and appeal of the Ta Pa Rice Fields in the An Giang Province of Mekong Delta, Vietname is not lost on me.

Fort Santiago

If you're a Filipino, you know this. From our very own country, Fort Santiago of Intramuros, Manila in the Philippines stands as one of the most historically significant sites in the country. After all, this is the very place in which the most popular and most known hero of the Philippines, was imprisoned. Now it serves as a reminder of our history, of the sacrifices that our ancestor went through so that us, their descendants, can have a taste of freedom. The fort consists of a Main Gate, Moat and Bastions, as well as a shrine dedicated to Rizal himself.
